The book deals with the section of Czech history, when it became a stage and also an occasional battlefield of the top wars of Naples, i.e. the period 1810-1815.

The key moments of this struggle, i.e. Napoleon's campaign to Russia, the battle of the peoples of Leipzig and the Vienna Congress, have taken place in our neighbourhood, but the Czechs have been hit by these events. The author uses the little-explored archive materials of the Czech Gubernia.
